The Edgar Broughton Band was an English psychedelic heavy rock group founded 1968 in Warwick, UK by brothers Edgar and Steve Broughton, Victor Unitt and Arthur Grant. The band's sound was influenced by the strong vocal style of Howlin' Wolf and Captain Beefheart, with a heavy blues-psych backing. Revolving around the Broughton's, the band went through many lineup changes, occasionally swapping players with The Pretty Things. Although not a great commercial success, the band was very prominent on the UK and European rock festival circuit for many years. Outstanding albums include Wasa Wasa, Sing Brother Sing and Edgar Broughton Band.
