Circuit des Yeux | Artist

Hayley Fohr aka Circuit des Yeux is an American avant-folk songwriter, composer, and vocalist born 1988 in Lafayette, Indiana. Fohr was previously in a duo called Cro Magnon, which recorded one self-titled album. Her music is based on her voice, synths and electronics to create dark, haunted atmospheres and meditative soundscapes. She started receiving critical attention in 2013 for her fourth album release Overdue, and growing interest for its follow-up In Plain Speech released in 2015. She took a break in 2016 to release a country album under the name Jackie Lynn before returning with her sixth and, to-date, strongest album, Reaching for Indigo, in 2017. The 2019 live album Reaching for Indigo: Gaia Infinitus, where she in accompanied by a string ensemble, is also excellent. Circuit des Yeux will release another Jackie Lynn album in April 2020 called Jacqueline.
