Bardo Pond is an American psychedelic rock band formed 1991 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by brothers Michael and John Gibbons, Isobel Sollenberger, Clint Takeda and Jason Kourkounis. Their lengthy feedback drenched post-rock explorations are built up by layers with ethereal vocals overlaid, likening them to bands such as My Bloody Valentine, Spacemen 3 and Sunn O))). Outstanding albums include Bufo Alvarius, Amanita, Lapsed, Dilate and On The Ellipse.
