Carbon Based Lifeforms is a Swedish electronic music duo formed 1996 in Gothenburg by Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Segerstad. Originally an electronic dance music duo, their style has turned toward ambient music, and their stated goal is "to combine earth and space in fine-tuned, but still solid, musical visions, seldom forgetting the irreplaceable TB-303". The TB-303 is a Roland bass synthesiser. The duo has collaborated on dance music productions and played live at the Swedish Museum of Natural History Planetarium. Outstanding albums include Hydroponic Garden, World of Sleepers, Interloper, Derelicts and The Path.
