Country Joe & The Fish was an American psychedelic folk-rock band formed 1965 in Berkeley, California by "Country" Joe McDonald and Barry "The Fish" Melton. The band was among the influential groups in the San Francisco music scene during the mid- to late 1960s. They play folk and protest songs with psychedelic overtones, and were one of the most popular bands to play Woodstock. Outstanding albums include the excellent Electric Music for the Mind and Body, I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-to-Die and C.J. Fish.
