John Joseph Wardle aka Jah Wobble, is an English bass guitarist, singer, poet and composer born 1958 in Stepney, London. He was the original bass player in Public Image Ltd in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but left the band after two albums. Wobble carried on solo and has collaborated with many other leading artists such as Brian Eno, Holger Czukay & Jaki Liebezeit, Bill Laswell and Keith Levene. He also works with bands Invaders of the Heart and Deep Space. Wobble is a sonic master of dub and ambient post-punk sounds. Outstanding albums include Deep Space, Radioaxiom, Mu, Beach Fervour Spare and Solaris Live in Concert.
