Salomão Borges Filho aka Lô Borges is a Brazilian songwriter, singer and guitarist born 1952 in Minas Gerais, Brazil. He was one of the founders, along with Milton Nascimento, of Clube de Esquina a group of musicians originating in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. He co-authored with Nascimento the album Clube de Esquina in 1972, which was a milestone in Brazilian popular music. Borges was greatly influenced by The Beatles and he wrote the hit song "Para Lennon e McCartney" as a tribute. Outstanding albums include Clube da Esquina (with Milton Nascimento), Lô Borges, A Via-Láctea, Nuvem cigana and Sonho real.
