The Leaving Trains was an American punk/rock band formed 1980 in Los Angeles, California by James Moreland, a frontman who became known for his chaotic performances and penchant for cross-dressing and who was briefly married to Courtney Love. Also in the original lineup were Manfred Hofer, Sylvia Juncosa and Hillary Laddin. The band underwent many chaotic lineup changes and their last ever live gig was in 2001 at The Knitting Factory Hollywood supporting Rob Younger from Radio Birdman. Outstanding albums include Kill Tunes, Fuck and Transportational D. Vices.
