The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band "Part One" (1967)

LP (NEW) - Vinyl, Jackpot Records, US, 2017, JPR 038, 751937437512, Mono, Reissue, Incl. Photo Insert

Formed in Los Angeles, CA, in 1965, The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band created music that possesses an eerily atmospheric and at times sinister quality that is bluntly political, childlike and bizarre. Part One is the band's second album which was the first in a string of three excellent garage pop/psych releases over the years 1967-68, including Part One, Vol.2 and A Child's Guide to Good and Evil. This album has achieved cult status and is an essential piece to collectors of late-60s music and psychedelia. Perhaps not their most psychedelic effort, but it's still in the category and revered among collectors of the genre.
