In The Same Room is the third and final album by New Zealand avant garde post-punks This Kind of Punishment, originally released 1987 on Flying Nun Records. Many critics regard this as the band's best album, displaying their characteristic darkly atmospheric, brooding, creative, noisy (but organized) sound. Superior Viaduct have done a great job resurrecting this obscure gem on vinyl.
