This week’s feature album is the tragic, post-punk goth hybrid from Drab Majesty.
Fresh off the back of their Australian tour, we see the band deliver their most refined effort yet in the form of ‘Modern Mirror’. The sound presented is a tasteful blend of The Cure and New Order, with the drama turned up to 11.
Alongside epic synth lines and beautifully tragic lyrics, the band give an original take on an old formula. This being best shown on ‘The Other Side’ and ‘Out of Sequence’.
They give a compelling soundscape which one can easily immerse themselves in, either simply for the aesthetics or as a genuine mood piece.
