Feature Album Feu! Chatterton

We are completely enamoured with the elegant sounds of Feu! Chatterton, and now is the best time to get on the bandwagon. ‘Palais d’argile’ is the third studio LP from the smoothest band working today, and is one of the best of the year thus far boasting pristine production and effortless swagger.

Sounding like a blend of U2 and Air, this 79-minute odyssey has it all. Passionate vocal performances, quiet ballads, slick grooves and everything one would expect from an LP mastering the finest corners of rock.

The previous two records from the band, 2014’s 'Ici le Jour (a tout enseveli)', and 2018’s 'L’oiseleur', are both great rock records as they are, and are excellent entries into new French rock catalogues, but they all build-up to this masterpiece.

From the sentimental and minimalist baselines on ‘Compagnons’ to the driving disco rhythms of ‘Ecran Total’, the album leaves no stone unturned. This is all before the 9-minute epic ‘Libre’, and the ultimate statement piece beginning and tailing the album, ‘Un Monde Nouveau'.

We adore the album endlessly and have had it on repeat since its release. We implore you listen to it immediately.
