The Dogs D'Amour is an English hard rock band formed 1983 in London, by Tyla (vocals, guitar), Ned Christie (vocals), Nick Halls (guitar), Karl Watson (bass) and Bam (drums). Over the years the band has had various line-ups, the only constant being vocalist Tyla. The band style is sleazy glam-punk which is a mixture of the Rolling Stones, the Faces and Hanoi Rocks. In their early days they spent time in Finland and doing gigs around the UK, without any success. They released two albums including the excellent In The Dynamite Jet Saloon, before getting a break with their third album Errol Flynn, which got to 22 in the UK charts. This new found celebrity was bolstered by their outrageous stage act which gained them the reputation as "the UK's most decadent and notorious Glam Rock band". To-date the band has released eleven studio albums, standouts include In the Dynamite Jet Saloon, Errol Flynn, Straight??!!, More Unchartered Heights of Disgrace and Happy Ever After. Tyla has also released numerous solo albums and has a side project with Ginger Wildheart of The Wildhearts, called Clam Abuse.
