Book of Dreams is the Tenth studio album from the Steve Miller Band, originally released in 1977. This album comes at the popular and commercial peak of SMB, following the previous album the hugely successful Fly Like an Eagle. Also hugely popular, this album firmly established the second coming of Miller's career, given he'd been around since the '60s, along with his sidekick Boz Scaggs. Filled with classics and some other typical Steve Miller space music, it is the quintessential Steve Miller band record. Fly Like an Eagle is very good, but was a step on the way to this record, his most successful and memorable release. "Jet Airliner", "Swingtown", "Jungle Love" and "The Stake" dominated the airways in that year and still remain accessible and enjoyable when heard today. The rest of the tracks are also strong, and the flow of the music as a whole works much better than most other Steve Miller albums. A must have.
